When you heard the word ‘outsourcing’ did you want to immediately roll your eyes to the back of your skull? Hang with me! This is going to be a good one and I know by the end of it you’re going to be thinking, hmm, I think there are some new things I could outsource to save myself tons of time.
A lot of businesses don’t have the time to do everything themselves, including me! Think about all the things we outsource as parents; our kids’ education (there’s no way I could run a business, take care of my kids, and educate them to the level they should be, feel me?), childcare in general, nannies. We do this because we are buying back our time to get other things done. I even outsource my legal and finance stuff because let’s be real, I don’t have the time to sit down and try to do it myself (it would literally take me double the time to do it) and I know there are other people who could do it not only quicker, but better. Think about your own business, what do you sit down to do and think, “ugh, I don’t want to do this at all,” because that’s a great indicator of what you could possibly outsource.
There are so many things you must think about as a business owner; invoicing, employee payroll, customer service, inventory reports, analytics…. the list goes on and on. Marketing is a big thing that most business owners don’t want to have to think about, they want to set it and forget it and that’s what we’re here for. There’s a big difference in outsourcing as compared to hiring though, so let’s dive into that for a short second. If you (the business owner) hired an employee, you’d have to provide equipment, materials, a desk, a computer, a phone, etc. alongside a bunch of software programs that are most likely going to add up to a lot of money. When you outsource, we already have all the pieces we need to make you successful; we have the software and the computers, and we don’t need anything else from you (but your love).
Outsourcing takes a ton off your plate and it’s okay to not be an expert in all. the. things. It’s okay! For example, when Brett (my husband) puts together a financial plan and meets with clients he needs to be doing that, not sitting at his desk worrying about his social post for the day or whether he’s getting any engagement. Outsource someone you trust to handle the job and focus on the things that you do best! Even in my industry it’s hard to be an expert in website design and social media and blogging and this or that. There are constant changes and it’s impossible to know everything about everything so let BlendWorks take the stuff you don’t want to do out of your hands.
Here’s a familiar scenario I hear a lot. “Hey, I really needed to do social media stuff this month, but it was this huge spiral; I didn’t do anything for a couple of days and when I went to actually do it, I got pulled into a meeting and next thing I know, a month went by, and I have ZERO posts on my social pages. Help!
Sound familiar? It’s okay this is a safe place (I won’t tell anyone) but what happens when you start to let social media go by the wayside? People think you’re out of business! If you haven’t posted in a minute and your site hasn’t hanged…. they’re going to think “I don’t think they’re doing well, so I’m going to take my business to someone who is”. That’s the last thing any of us want to see.
When you created your business, you did it to become your own boss right? To not work around the clock and to have an amazing work/life balance. So why are you working day and night on things that you’re not an expert in? If you’re not great at getting customers to leave you reviews, or website design, or blogging or social media, let someone who is efficient, and smart do the task for you. Sometimes you need to buy back your time so you can do what you do best, and they can do what they do best.
If your online presence is inconsistent, if your website is slow or outdated, if you’ve moved to a new location and need to change your business address on all online platforms, we’ve got you covered. We’ll sit down and have a few meetings to really get to know you and your brand and we’ll handle it from there. We want your customers to know that you are not only here and running, but you’re thriving (insert finger snap here). I truly value my evenings and weekends with my kids so I’ve learned to outsource cleaning. I’ve learned to outsource my retirement planning. I’ve outsourced my contracts and statement of work documents. Why? Because they not only get it done faster, but they get it done better.
Let us do it better for you.
